Social Services Division

Purpose: To research and establish social services programs that would support those affected by the earthquake in Haiti and in the United States. To also provide support to existing social service programs.

The social services committee has begun to contact community based organizations and hospitals that serve the Haitian community within the five boroughs and the surrounding areas.  Through our research we have found that there are programs and services that are being implemented to provide services to Haitians and Haitian- Americans living in the area. These services include group counseling and individual counseling by qualified mental health providers.
