Legal Division

CESA’s legal department is made up of young, vibrant attorneys who are licensed in the states of New York  and New Jersey. The legal department oversees all pertinent legal transactions and provides necessary legal assistance to CESA.

Cesa’s legal department has also linked up with attorneys licensed in Haiti to better assist us with matters governed by the Laws of Haiti.

The purpose of CESA’s legal department is to legally second CESA in its noble effort to immediately assist and aid the victims of the brutal earthquake that has decimated the population of Haiti’s capital and ravaged cities like Bas-peu-de Chose, Leogane, Petit-Goave, and Jacmel on January 12, 2010.

The legal department plans to have a free TPS (Temporary Protected Status) clinic in April—the date will be announced very soon. CESA’s attorneys and trained volunteers will help undocumented Haitians, who are living in the United States prior to January 12, 2010 and are eligible for such relief, to file for TPS.

The legal department is currently working on other projects to better assist CESA in its indefatigable endeavor to establish a long-term assistance to the victims of Haiti’s earthquake.
