Collection of Goods Division

Purpose

Our divisions’ operating mission is to expeditiously deliver goods and resources within areas in Haiti, where other non governmental and governmental agencies are non-accessible.  CESA’s approach as a whole is to combine resources with others to help many areas in Haiti.  Our division effectuates our purpose by establishing agency relationships with other organizations and individuals. As CESA agent representatives, our division supports current efforts by linking organizations with high demand resources acquired by our division and others with surmountable goods collected for distribution in Haiti. In addition, our division continues to work on long-term plans to directly provide goods to Haiti.

 Research and Development

CESA Collection of Goods Division’s current research and development, has identified neglected areas such an: Bas-peu-de Chose,Petitionville, Leogane,Tomasin , Jacmal, Sylvio Cator-Delmar 24 area camp sites  encompasses over 6,000 families, whose needs are not being met although many efforts have been made.   To combat against excessive waste of goods/resources, we are conducting a needs assessment of the items that are most essential and effective for immediate relief as well as long term recovery.

Quality Assurance &Resource Allocation

To ensure effective use of all donated goods/ resources, items are inspected at time of donation at collection sites; and  inventory is taken and maintained within our storage facility.  Once goods/resources are deemed as consumable, care packages/crates are then created sealed per family, or organization.  This process mitigates the risk of thief, and tampered items.  Care packages are scheduled to be shipped via cargo towards the ending of each month.  Our targeted projected goal is to have medical supplies and equipment airlifted to immediate need areas routinely to facilities that provide acute, preventive, light trauma care.  Furthermore, periodic evaluation of assessment of goods /resources to keep inventory items updated.

Partnerships with Active CESA Representative Sites
